Founder and former director of the Oakland Peace Center, Sandhya Jha (they/them) is a twenty-year resident of Oakland and a decades-long community organizer and activist currently working on a PhD in Philadelphia. Inspired by what they learned about the sustaining power of ancestors among Oakland social movement leaders, Rebels, Despots, and Saints is part Sandhya's love letter to activists of color, part lessons from organizing, and part encouragement for people seeking to align their spirit and their call to justice. It is Sandhya's fifth book with Chalice Press.
